Ana is caring, non-judgmental, open-minded and has a good sense of humor. In her counseling practice, she has worked with individuals addressing issues including trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. She specializes in treating PTSD, trauma, addiction and process addictions by incorporating EMDR, exposure therapy, attachment theory and psychodynamic theory. She has worked at hospitals and in private practice as a psychotherapist, clinical social worker and clinical supervisor.  She strives to create a safe, supportive and empowering therapeutic space and works with clients collaboratively to help them heal, grow and become a better version of themselves. Ana was born and raised in the United Kingdom to Spanish and Irish parents. She has lived in Spain, Japan, Hawaii and moved to Austin in 2015. She celebrates diversity in all its forms including race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, spirituality, ability and size. This appreciation for diverse life experiences and identities is integral to Anna’s approach. In her spare time she likes to cook for friends, hike with her husband and dogs and spend time in Big Bend.
