Jourdan Bartels, MA, LPC
Clinical Therapist
(she/her)
About Me
Passionate, Warm, Grounded, Playful
For Jourdan, healing emerges from the relationships we build - with others, and with ourselves. In her practice, Jourdan’s primary goal is to foster genuine connections with clients and provide a transformative, empowering, and reparative experience. Clients can expect lots of compassion from Jourdan and some playfulness, too. As a queer therapist, she knows the value of humor and light-heartedness amidst challenges, paired with a dedication to holding compassion alongside you and creating change. Therapy with Jourdan is a collaboration: clients bring their expertise on their life and experience, and she brings her expertise on therapeutic tools and mental health knowledge.
Jourdan’s clinical background and passions involve supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, couples & individuals navigating relationship dynamics and changes, nurturing self-compassion, and tackling feelings of shame. At the heart of her approach is a holistic focus - our work will include your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and how your body and nervous system are involved, the role that systems and environments play in your mental health, and how various parts of your life have informed your current experience.
Jourdan sees her clients as whole, complex individuals, deserving of a safe space to find clarity, receive support, and explore new ways of being in the world. She understands that trust is earned, and that process takes time – her hope is that, by creating shared safety and trust, her clients don’t have to guess if she will affirm their identity, believe their stories of abuse or oppression, or otherwise support them.
Every part of you holds worth, value, and the right to care and understanding. Each of us already have incredible inner wisdom, and Jourdan would be honored to work with you as you rediscover and reconnect to your own.

Personal
Outside of work, Jourdan loves to host and cook nourishing meals for her family and friends. She feels most like herself when she’s cooking, lovingly moving her body on the mat, or being by the river. Jourdan is also a huge dog person; she spends a lot of time with her pup Birdie, walking, cuddling, or socializing with other dogs.
