Welcome to your step by step guide to Ketamine at Selva.
At Selva Wellness Collective, we believe your healing journey should be as unique as you are. That’s why we curate personalized treatment plans tailored to your mental health goals, financial needs, and personal preferences. Whether you’re drawn to traditional or ceremonial sessions, prefer specific medicine administration methods, or want to set the pace of your treatment frequency, we empower you to design a path that aligns with your vision for wellness. Healing on your terms starts here.
Step 1. Initial Assessment & Consultation
Comprehensive Evaluation: A thorough psychological and medical evaluation with our psychiatric team is conducted to determine if KAP is an appropriate and safe option. This may include reviewing mental health history, medication use, and current symptoms.
Collaboration on Goals: The client and medical provider discuss therapeutic goals, such as which protocol is best and how often the KAP sessions will occur based on your needs. They will also walk you through what form of administration you want (oral, IM, or IV) and frequency of sessions based on your needs. These can be tailored as needed at any time.
Medical Screening: Clients undergo a medical screening to ensure there are no contraindications (such as uncontrolled high blood pressure, certain heart conditions, or substance use issues) that might make ketamine unsafe to use.
Selva offers personalized types of administration & experience.
Oral Sublingual
-
Oral sublingual KAP involves placing a ketamine lozenge under the tongue, where it dissolves and is absorbed through the mucous membranes.
Sublingual ketamine offers a gradual onset and an waving experience, often lasting 50-90 minutes. This method allows for a gentler entry into the therapeutic experience. It is ideal for those who prefer a less intense introduction to ketamine's effects and for clients who may require a more subdued approach to therapy.
-
• Depression (including treatment-resistant depression)
• Anxiety disorders, such as generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and panic disorders
• Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
• Chronic pain conditions, including fibromyalgia and neuropathic pain
• Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
• Bipolar depression
• Emotional regulation challenges stemming from trauma or life transitions
• Suicidal ideation (providing rapid relief during crises)
• Addiction recovery (by reducing cravings and addressing underlying trauma)This method is carefully guided by our team of experienced practitioners, ensuring a safe, personalized, and transformative healing journey. Whether used as a standalone treatment or in combination with psychotherapy, oral sublingual ketamine therapy offers a compassionate and effective path to improved mental health.
Intramuscular (IM)
-
Intramuscular KAP involves the administration of ketamine via an injection, allowing for a more controlled absorption rate into the bloodstream. This method typically leads to a quicker onset of effects, providing a more immediate experience that can be essential for deep therapeutic work. IM KAP is often preferred for its efficiency and the ability to finely tune dosages for optimal results.
IM ketamine offers a quicker onset and an expansive experience, often lasting 45 minutes. IM KAP is particularly suited for clients seeking a highly immersive and deeply introspective journey, often ideal for addressing treatment-resistant conditions.

IV Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (IV KAP) is a cutting-edge treatment that combines intravenous (IV) ketamine infusion with guided psychotherapy to provide profound mental health and emotional breakthroughs. Administering ketamine directly into the bloodstream allows for precise control over dosage and ensures a consistent therapeutic effect. This approach creates a deeply immersive experience, fostering neuroplasticity and facilitating lasting change.
