Chloe Curiel (she/her)-Master's in Counseling Student
Administrative Coordinator
Creative, Attentive, Welcoming, Affirming
Chloe is an artist, a soon-to-be therapist, and a lover of community. As the Administrative Coordinator at Selva, Chloe seeks to provide a welcoming, inclusive, and adaptable presence to the collective. Communication and openness is essential to her identity and her professional practice.
Upon completing her degree, she will begin working with individuals who are managing anxiety and depression, looking to deepen their relationship with themselves, or striving to live more aligned with their values. As a trauma-informed therapist, her mission is to help clients build an authentic, bold, and empowered identity. She provides a safe, welcoming space that honors and celebrates BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and neurodiverse
experiences.
In her therapy work, Chloe prioritizes nervous system regulation, mindfulness, confidence-building, self-

compassion, and distress tolerance. She uses an integrated approach with Person-Centered Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy (movement, music, art, and writing), Strength-Based Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Existential Therapy, somatic tools, and mindfulness-based practices. She believes that every person desires to feel loved and accepted, and that true fulfillment begins within the self.
Raised in a family of Mexican-American artists and community activists, Chloe developed a deeply creative
and inclusive worldview early on. As the sibling of an adult with intellectual disabilities, she has also spent years advocating for the mental health and quality of life of disabled communities.
Personal
Chloe is a visual artist, musician, and lover of people! She is constantly creating, whether it be a soft sculpture, a video installation, or a new song she's writing.
She also loves to spend time with her family, friends, and fiancée. Chloe loves walking and playing with her dog, Ophelia, cooking for her loved ones, and watching movies and shows that have complex group dynamics and psychological messages. She prioritizes feeling calm, grounded, and connected with herself and others.
