Charmecia Morris, MA, LPC (she/her) -- License # 78920
Clinical Therapist
Goofy, Curious, Exuberant, Earnest
Charmecia knew from an early age that she wanted to dedicate her life to helping others. What started as a childhood dream of bringing magic to life eventually evolved into a passion for psychotherapy. To Charmecia, therapy is a transformative process powered by the strength, insight, and resilience we already carry within ourselves-a quiet kind of magic. She is especially drawn to working with young people, who naturally hold on to wonder, creativity, and hope. Her mission as a therapist is to help clients reconnect with their innate strengths and rediscover the confidence that has been with them all along.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (#78920) and Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, Charmecia specializes in youth mental health (ages 10 and up), individual counseling for adults, and family therapy. Early in her clinical career, clients frequently told her, "I wish I had met you sooner." Taking those reflections deeply to heart, she dedicated her practice to guiding young people through one of life's most complex transitions: moving from childhood into adulthood.
In her practice, Charmecia offers specialized support for clients navigating identity development-including conversations around race, ethnicity, neurodiversity, LGBTQIA+ identities, gender exploration, and acculturation. She helps individuals learn to manage anxiety and stress, break free from diet culture to move toward body acceptance, build healthy relationships, and recover from relational trauma. Additionally, she serves as a translator and ambassador for families feeling the unique strains of the adolescent years, helping parents and teens bridge communication gaps and restore balance.
Charmecia's approach is firmly rooted in trauma-informed, neuro-affirming, holistic, and liberation-focused values. Recognizing that every person's story requires a unique set of tools, she uses an integrative clinical model drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Relational-Cultural Therapy (RCT), and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) to tailor care directly to each individual and family. Charmecia holds a Master's in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman's University, and offers virtual sessions throughout Texas and in-person appointments in downtown Austin.

Personal
Whether she's admiring Mother Nature or creating something of her own, Charmecia is happiest when she's pursuing her passions. She spends her quiet hours gardening, hiking, watercolor painting, drawing, or scrapbooking, but her creativity truly comes alive through music-whether performing with her choir or hosting lively karaoke nights with friends. Rounding out her eclectic mix of hobbies, she loves the thrill of hunting for treasures at thrift stores and can rarely resist getting lost in a good sci-fi novel.
